Find Comfort Hydrating Hand Cream
Inclusive packaging design reimagined for Selena Gomez’s new body care line in 2024. The hand cream was launched alongside a series of body care items that use aromatherapy to help bring comfort to users. The collection was the brand’s first entry into a different category other than color cosmetics.
Process
Our team worked alongside the Rare Beauty team to develop a hand cream package that is hygienic, inclusive, and comforting. We proposed over 30+ designs and created a series of ergonomic prototypes to ensure the perfect hand-feel.
Inclusive and Sustainable Design
The hand cream design uses a clever opening that was inspired by food packaging products. The squeezable HDPE bottle uses a simple twist cap feature that allows formula to pass through a small orifice. Our engineering team worked with our factory to achieve a 74% PCR (post consumer - recycled plastic) for the entire package. Overall, the design makes packaging more accessible to consumers with dexterity challenges and reduces consumption of virgin plastic material.
